Join us for some of the best goalkeeper training in New Jersey!
Our mission is to develop the 90-minute goalkeeper.
A 90-minute goalkeeper is one that devotes themselves entirely to the full length of the game. At times, this goalkeeper assumes other responsibilities outside of their position in order to execute what is most effective in the field. Perfection is the mindset; this ideal develops through engaging in specific exercises, building confidence, instilling a love for the game, and in enhancing a player's overall knowledge and insight.
At the David Pekarek Goalkeeper Training School, we strive to educate goalkeepers on all aspects of soccer. Our goal is to instill confidence in our students by providing strategic feedback and equipping goalies of all levels with the necessary skills for success on the field. Our approach involves a multi-faceted approach to teaching, focusing on five key components: technique, decision-making, patience, competitiveness, and sportsmanship. By addressing these elements, we help goalies refine their skills, broaden their perspective, and reach new levels of success.
Throughout New Jersey, the David Pekarek Goalkeeper Training School has been instrumental in developing some of the best goalies. Our club-neutral environment provides a unique opportunity for us to work with one of the top soccer teams in the United States, FC Motown. This affiliation allows us to bring professional goalkeepers to our camps and sessions, facilitating high-level discussions, interactions, and mentoring.
At Saint Benedict's Preparatory School, we offer training sessions, camps, and lessons for goalkeepers. Our school is home to the top-ranked (#1) high school boys' soccer team in the US, and they have won 14 National Championships. This unique and special location provides an exceptional training experience, as many of the country's best players have developed their skills here.
Testimonials
Dave is one of the most passionate coaches that has trained me. His preparation for sessions are thoughtfully designed to your needs. Dave’s ability to control the tempo of the session tremendously benefits a goalkeeper’s development. This is a difficult quality to find, and Dave knows when to push your limits and when to find a comfortable rhythm that will evolve into a goalkeeper routine. One of Dave’s most important qualities is his desire to seek knowledge. After training exercises, sessions, and games we always discuss and debate certain scenarios regardless of the outcome. We analyze them and figure out what would be the most efficient way to handle them because it’ll most likely happen again and you want to be prepared for it. Not only has Dave’s influence helped me become a better goalkeeper but as a person. I am grateful that we crossed paths at FC Motown.

Dave helped me train in preparation for my professional season with a team in the Finnish Premier League. He took time out his busy schedule to train me whenever he could, and made sure I was as prepared as possible leading up to my departure. He is a great coach, even better person, and he truly cares about his players.
